The Sunday School, Youth Group, and anyone else from Bethel who wants to join us, will be entering a float in the Santa Claus parade. As we travel down Queen Street we will be handing out packages to bystanders. These packages will contain a candy cane, information concerning children's ministries at Bethel, and a pamphlet telling them "The Legend of the Candy Cane."
WE NEED YOUR HELP
First of all, we need help constructing the float. Anyone willing to help is asked to come to the chapel on Saturday, November 22nd beginning at 10:00am. We will be working on the float until it is complete. The building usually takes 4-5 hours. Even if all you can give is an hour, please stop by and lend a hand. Secondly, we are asking families, Sunday School teachers, youth, youth leaders and all those who are young at heart to come out and ride the float. Please note that children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to ride the float. All children 12 and under will ride the float while older youth and adults will have the opportunity to either ride the float, or walk alongside delivering handouts.
WHAT TO WEAR ON THE FLOAT: The theme of the float this year will be Candy Canes and teh Story of the Candy Cane. If you wish to wear clothing that coordinates with the theme, you can wear red and white. (Examples: red scarf, santa hat, etc.) Please don't forget to wear your winter jacket, boots, mitts and hats.
WHEN AND WHERE TO MEET: Meet on Bay Street near the Bushplane Museum between 5:00 - 5:15pm. You may park on the West side of Bay Dental, 648 Bay Street. After the parade the float will return to the Bay Dental area for drop off.
